Comments: From start to finish, we were delighted with the service provided by Gyan and his team. Our guide Khim and porters Jeet and Tika (not sure of correct spelling) were excellent and looked after us very well - always keeping our spirits high as well as making sure we had enough tea and blankets! They were well informed and experienced which allowed us to truly appreciate Nepal's beauty without having to worry about the logistics of the day. Prior to our travels, Gyan communicated efficiently via email and on arrival, coordinated our travels well with a few extra days before and after the trek at both Kathmandu and Pokhara. What an amazing bunch of people I trekked with in Nepal, Poonhill…
Being someone who loves to travel alone, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised (and lucky I must add ) to have found myself enjoying a week of action, adventure, suspense, comedy and thrill in the midst of a group of 18 uniquely different and cool spirited people.
From my cool light-spirited friends H and R .. to Nina, Karim, Cherine and Omar whom I first met at the airport and they were already all smiles…..
To a Dal-Bahted Dory and totally laid-back and awesome couple Mohamed and Ines…
To each of Amr, Lobna, Sarah, Munthir, Sherif and Riham…
To Heba, the fantastic Mum of that 11 yr old witty smart and funny young man, Abboudy, who was one of the many highlights of my trip… my trekking buddy who touched my heart in so many different ways..
To Fady, the nice guy who is always looking after everybody… ( my saturday Durbar Square buddy, my credit card is doing well :) )
Those names that meant nothing to me when I first read Wild Guanabana's pre-trip introduction message, now each of them flash an image in my head that puts a smile on my face :)
From the fast to the slow, from the funny to the eccentric, the statistics-calculator-head to the athletic, the wise to the witty, the sleepy-head to the relaxed, the casual to the chic, the kama-sutra freak to the massage freak, the stand-up comedian to the Dal-Bath hero :) each with their own special and unique character yet all smily, friendly and fun…
Wild GUANABANA ( http://www.wildguanabana.com/ ) had promised us a life changing experience and a life changing experience indeed it was… Yet, for me it wasn't thru the awesomeness of nature, nor the beautiful sceneries or the never ending staircases to heaven or the majestic highlighted peaks at sunrise or the unique charming guest houses with no showers or the squatting toilets ( best leg/gluteus-exercise toilets :) ) My life changing experience with Wild GUANABANA was thru my trekking buddies… the 18 members of the group… positive or negative, I took back home with me a souvenir from each of them…
After 10 days in Nepal, I was sad to leave, not for the geographical part of the trip but for the inner calmness and serenity that this whole journey had brought me..

Comments: My Everest Base camp trek with Adventure Treks Nepal was a life time memory and an unforgettable experience. When planning Gyan was very accommodating and flexible with how I wanted to run my trek, and also managed to find me a trekking partner to do this with. Both my porter and guide were great company to be around the entire 12 days, knowledgeable of every mountain in the Himalayas, their was nothing they didn't know. I was fed well, slept well and felt at home in the lodges. Making it the top on the final day to both Base Camp and Gorakshep proved to be my most challenging point and I know I would not have made it to the top without the amazing support of my guide who pushed me to my absolute limits when I was at breaking point. A total sense of accomplishment came to me once I made it the top.

I apologise for not writing sooner but have had trouble with my computer. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both you and Khll (our porter) for the outstanding organisation and support you showed us on our recent trek. We have had trouble expressing to friends and family exactly how amazing our trip was and have suggested that they get out there and see the beautiful Nepalese countryside for themselves .
During our trek you kept us informed on the times taken for our daily travel (even though we were not the quickest), the things we would see and the challenges we would face each day. At the end of each day you had chosen the best room availble and had dinner on and drinks at the ready.You made treking the Annapurna Base Camp an unforgetable experience, one we would both happily do with you again should the chance come by.I have recommended Adventure Treks Nepal to all our friends.

AN UNFORGETTABLE TREK TO EVEREST BASE CAMP
2nd April 2013 -----17th April 2013
I have been home a month now from my trek to Everest Base Camp. Booked through Adveture Treks Nepal. The whole trip and experience went like clockwork from the moment we arrived in Kathmandu and left 16 days later. Met at the airport by Gyan Karki ( Managing Partner) we drove off to our hotel through the hustle bustle streets of Kathmandu . Already you are feeling good as you talk about 'the trek' and the personal service you get from a smaller company. The following morning we are met early at the hotel by Gyan who introduces us to Ramesh our guide and at 29 and more than half our age we set off for the flight to Lukla. From here Ramesh is the leader. Telling us the flight has been delayed for an hour, checking our baggage in and general ensuring all is ok. The whole trek Ramesh had everything under control from booking the Tea Houses we stayed at as we moved up the valleys, to bringing us menus and our meals, ensuring we did those important acclimatisation days, letting us walk at our pace but getting to our daily destination in good time, taking those important rest breaks, discussing a change to our days walk as we were making very good time ,making sure we were up in the morning, laughing at our jokes and being 'one of us'. You knew you were in a safe pair of hands.
We should not forget Balaram our young 20 year old porter. He carried our 2 main bags and his own ( 40kgs). Always with a huge smile and always at our destination before us.
On returning to Kathmandu we were met by Gyan who returned with us to the hotel for a de- brief on our trip and 'what can we do to make the experience better', what was good and what could be better. Again it's that personal service that makes the difference.
We spent another 2 days seeing , smelling and listening to the sounds of Kathmandu before Gyan picked us up from the hotel and the drive back to the airport.

Adventure Treks Nepal Everest Base Camp Trek Via Gokyo Lakes and Chola Pass April 2013
We have just returned from our second trek with Gyanendra and Adventure Treks Nepal. Our First
trek was to the Annapurna Sanctuary in October 2010, we took our 3 sons and Gyanendra was our
guide, we had an wonderful family experience and the boys loved the trek and Gyanendra, this time
only my wife and I were able to find the time to go trekking, so it was without hesitation that we
wanted to use Adventure Treks Nepal (ATN) again, and they did not let us down, they were brilliant !
Again the trek was organised to perfection, but when adjustments needed to be made they were
immediately reorganising to maximise our experience. An example of this is when we arrived in
Kathmandu flights to Lukla had been stopped for several days, and we had planned to spend 2
days in Kathmandu before starting our trek. After consulting with us ATN were able to get us on
limited flights the next day and reschedule our itinerary. Flight's stopped again the next day and
we would have been stuck but instead we were already away on our amazing trek. Gyan Karki,
the manager of ATN was tremendous ,his attention to detail was without fault, everything was as
promised and superbly arranged and well executed.
Our guide Gyanendra is amazing,he is more than a guide has become a wonderful friend. His passion
for the mountains, the history and life in Nepal is exceptional. Our well being and satisfaction was
always Gyanendra's number one priority.During the trek he planned the day to suit us, he was flexible
and booked tea houses in advance that were alway the pick of what was available. He told us the best
and safest meals to choose and was always monitoring our acclimatisation, on day 5 of our trek he kept
us in Macchermo an extra day when we needed time to acclimatise then rearranged our itinerary for us
with ease, and neither of us had any altitude sickness.
I can without hesitation recommend ATN to anyone who wants to go trekking in Nepal. Good honest
operators are hard to find, and these guys are the best at what they do. We have many more trips to
Nepal to come, and will always use ATN, Thank You Gyan and Gyanendra for another unforgettable
holiday, we still have "very big smiles".

When I first started researching which trek company to use, I decided to make some enquires to a number of companies. I found that ATN were the most helpful without being too pushy. Gyan, the managing director, was my contact. Gyan was really patient with me – I changed my mind several times and had many questions - he was always happy to answer and he did very promptly each time.
Once we had confirmed and booked our trip, everything was smooth sailing from there onwards. From airport pickup, briefing about what to expect, purchasing of last minute items, the trek, transfer back to Kathmandu and organising of taxis etc. They provided assistance with whatever we requested.
Mr Khem (our guide) was a joy to be around through the whole trek and he forms part of our amazing memories. He is a very experienced guide and we enjoyed listening to his stories from previous treks and listening to his jokes. We missed him when our trek was over. I especially appreciated it when he helped my husband who was very sick at the start of the trek. Mr Khem really helped him get better and motivated him to carry on when he felt down.
Each lodge we stayed in was of good quality and comfortable and the food was also surprisingly good.
ATN made our trek a trip of a life time. If we had to do it all over again… we wouldn't change a thing.

Everest Region..Sagarmatha is my Dream...Eventhough I can't Climb to top of the world.
So I contact to Mr.Gyan...He is Nice Guy he waiting us with his smile. We have had a fantastic two week trek to Everest base camp. Our Guide Ramesh and two Porter have been excellent and very attentive looking after us. Ramesh is a very good guide and taught us allot about Nepali culture. and our Porter was a brilliant porter.
They are my best friend. We think he will make an excellent guide in future.The level of service from both Guide and Porter was superb. They were available all the way to help us with anything we needed, and both were thoughtful about anything we might require, water, food showers, accomodation. Ramesh's knowledge of the area and the lodges meant that we were always happy with our accommodation. He took care to visit places which were comfortable and had home stay feel. Ramesh have the qualities to be excellent guide and porter and to give all his clients a wonderful trekking experience.We highly recommends him.

Kathmandu & Annapurna Trek - 24th Sept to 5th Oct
From the time we landed and were greeted at the airport by Gyan until the very last day, every detail of our trip was extremely well-organised. We met our guide Gyanendra when we arrived at our hotel and from that moment on we were in very competent hands for the whole of our time in Nepal both in Kathmandu, our Everest flight and our 5 day Annapurna trek. Gyanendra organised each day and detail meticulously - to the minute. He was friendly, cheerful and lots of fun every day while being absolutely professional at all times. All of our drivers were fantastic and safely negotiated our way through the chaotic streets of Kathmandu and we were especially appreciative of our safe driver on the treacherous trip back from Pokhara.
Everyone was extremely helpful and kept us safe at all times. The accommodation in Kathmandu, Pokhara and the tea-houses on the trek were all well-chosen to ensure we were comfortable each night.
Gyanendra showed particular concern for the health and well-being of each member of our group and his cheerful jolly nature was a delight. His program was flexible enough to ensure it suited the needs of every group member but structured enough to ensure we kept to schedule and didn't miss a thing. Gyanendra's knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for Nepal and the mountains is very infectious, and made our trip a truly memorable experience that will last a lifetime. We would highly recommend Gyanendra as a superb guide for both in the city and trekking in the mountains.
Adventure Treks Nepal came highly recommended by fellow Aussies and certainly lived up to our every expectation, being very well organised and extremely easy to plan with. Gyan replied super promptly to every email and answered all questions to our complete satisfaction to ensure that every detail of our trip was covered. Nothing was left to chance and there were no hidden extras. The precise planning of our trip from our very first email to Gyan to when he saw us off at the airport ensured our whole adventure flowed smoothly and was the most fantastic unforgettable experience of our lives. We were nervous yet excited about the trip but on our first day in Nepal our health took a turn for the worse and we were very close to cancelling our trek. Bhuwan stepped in at that time and helped us be positive and we are glad we followed his advice because the trek was worth it ! Bhuwan was a guide who knew the land, the people and had very good judgement. He had very good relationship with the people running the various tea lodges and always ensured that we got the best service. This was the third time we were in Nepal and the second time we used Adventure Treks Nepal. The fantastic welcome in Kathmandu was a very nice start for our trip to Pokhara and then further to the mountains with Punhill as our peak destination. Gyanendra who was our main guide, was booked long time in advance since we had had the pleasure to have him guiding us on out last trip to Nepal in 2009, also then with children.
Walking in the mountains with children was not a problem, the children was well taken care of by the guides and porters and they had a great time every time we came to a new place in the mountains.
Gyanendra made sure that all food that was made to us in the mountain "restaurants" was made in a way that we did not have any issues with our stomach etc. The gastronomical peak was reached the night we purchased a goat and celebrated with the guides and porters. What an evening !
A great thank you to Gyanendra and "the name of the other guide- Ganesh, in addition to the porters that made our trip a lifetime experience. It is true what they say: First time you come to Nepal it is because of the mountains the next time it is because of the people living there. Thank you.

Having to trek Lantang Valley with Adventure Treks Nepal was an experience my friend and I cannot forget. Due to last minute changed of flights schedule, Gyan, the Managing Partner, was very patient and quick in re-planned our itineraries.
Our guide, Khim & porter, Tikar were very helpful throughout the trek days. They would make sure that our safety come first and that we enjoy our walk; slow down when we were tire. Being 2 ladies from tropical country, we are not used to cold weather, Khim would ensure that every night we were given 2 blankets to keep ourselves warm at night.
We will definitely choose Adventure Treks Nepal again for our next trek in Nepal.

Comments: The perfect tour for those who don't want the hassle of having to research and plan for Trekking in Nepal. Quality of the tea houses vary, but generally they were much better than I expected and more than comfortable. Guides were friendly and alway made sure the pace was suitable for everyone. The sights are incredible at every stage of the walk and the sense of achievement upon reaching destination was unforgettable. Special mention to the assistant guides and porters who did a tremendous job and were an inspiration to many. Highly recommend this company if heading to Nepal.

Testimonial Nepal
We found "Adventure Treks Nepal" in our Nepal guide and checked their offers in the internet. From the first moment they convinced us with their ability to customize trips for their customers.
We contacted Gyan and explained that we would like to receive a tailor-made offer for a stay in a nice hotel in Kathmandu, a 12-days-trek onto Gokyio Ri, and afterwards a visit of Chitwan-NP.
We received a very good offer where all our wishes were perfectly included. This is why we decided for Adventure Treks Nepal.
Arriving at the airport Gyan appeared in person to pick us up and to bring us to the hotel. It was a warm welcome; everything was organized and well explained.
After two days in Kathmandu we started with our "Gokyo Ri-trip". Our guide was very calm, reliable, helpful and very gentle; furthermore we had a strong and also gentle porter. Accommodation facilities were nice. Our hike was absolutely fantastic; we enjoyed every day and had a very good time – unforgettable!
Returning to Kathmandu, we spent some days there and made the second trip to Chitwan-NP, which was also well organized and prepared.
In summary we can say that we were very satisfied with "Adventure Treks Nepal", and that we had one of our best vacations in life in Nepal! We will for sure come back one day, and "Adventure Treks Nepal" shall be our first address to contact.

Annapurna Base Camp 2012 & Everest Base Camp 2013
In 2012, after much research we booked the Annapurna Base Camp trip with Gyan Karki of Adventure Treks Nepal.
Our Guide and Porter were professional, extremely dedicated and patient - with a constant focus on our experience. I can honestly say it was an unforgettable trip - amazing countryside, great people, amazing organic food and the ideal way to truly escape from it all. Our Guide and Porter ultimately made all this possible - and memories we will have for a lifetime.
As a testimony to this company, we included a return to Nepal in November 2013 (this time to Everest Base Camp) as part of our Honeymoon - and again we were not disappointed. Our guide this time, Mr Khim was truly excellent in his organisation and enthusiasm with a super sense of humour !!
With a day spare in Kathmandu at the end of our trip - Gyan also arranged a chauffer-driven day tour for my wife and I to finally see the best of the city.
We are hoping to get back to Nepal again, will definitely be choosing ATN and cannot recommend them enough.

Comments: Here is my feedback of our tour with Adventure Treks Nepal on the Classic Annapurna Circuit Trekking guided tour.
We had a great time in Nepal! We enjoyed experiencing life in Nepal from the big cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara to the small remote villages in the Himalayas during the trek.
We were pleasantly surprised that we had a private tour. Lucky that no one else joined our group as it was the off-season. Shambhu and Budi are really nice people and very professional. Shambhu is very knowledgeable of the sites and mountains along the trek and of Nepal itself. He answered most of my questions quite easily. Also we felt like he really took care of us especially in the later part of the trek when we got headaches and when my knee started to hurt during the descent to Muktinath. He made sure we had enough to eat, stayed warm with extra blankets, and got plenty of rest. Budi is a workhorse. He never complained and didn't look like he was cold even at the top! Your driver, though we did not spend too much time with him, was professional and courteous.
The hiking itself wasn't that bad. It was the cold up high and the lack of oxygen that made it difficult in the latter stages. But it was not anything we didn't expect. We've experienced high altitude before (4600m) and our bodies dealt with it better this time.
The food during the trek ranged from OK to a few dishes/drinks that we really enjoyed such as Tibetan bread, masala tea, real mint tea, garlic soup, dal bhat (at lower altitudes because of the saag), and aloo parotha in Muktinath.
One of the highlights of the tour was the tour of Muktinath Temple. Shambhu walked us through the grounds explaining the significance of the temples, the number 108, the trees planted in memory of loved ones, and the roles of the monks and swamis. I could tell that this was a special place to him. It would not have been the same had we walked through on our own.
Some not-so-good feedback:
To be totally honest, the tour did not have the best of starts. The car ride from Kathmandu to Besi Sahar was quiet and a bit awkward. I expected the tour to start right away. If not in the car then in the hotel before the drive. I tried to engage Shambhu in conversation but it wasn't as much a conversation as it was a question-answer period. He and the driver talked to each other. I suspect that he is of the personality that takes a while to warm up to people. That is ok. I understand. We are all different. I am just telling you this as feedback. Of course you can tell him what I said but he should know I'm not mad. It is just my observations and how I felt at the time. As I said earlier, the guiding portion of the tour and the relationships improved. Other than that, everything was great and we had a memorable time in Nepal.
Oh, one more thing Gyan. I think you should start guiding again. I find you very funny, with a contagious laugh and easy to get along with.

We have used them twice and the costumer service can't be beat. The price is also outstanding and they even gave us money back when we had to take the bus when flights were cancelled. They adapt the trips to whatever you want and have knowledgeable guides who treat you like gold (mr khim). If you go to Nepal, or even Tibet or India, you will Not find another company who compares.
